At In The Sun, we believe five-star stays aren’t about fancy buzzwords — they’re about showing up.
That belief comes from experience, from family, and from being deeply rooted in St. Augustine long before this became a business.
I’m Seth Balogh. While I’m originally from Michigan, St. Augustine has been part of my life since childhood. I’ve vacationed here for as long as I can remember, had family living here my entire life, and learned to swim, surf, boogie board, and fish along these beaches. This place shaped who I am — and ultimately, how we approach hospitality.
In 2022, my wife and I began our real estate journey with the same trust many owners place in property management. That trust was broken. What we experienced was hands-off oversight, poor communication, and a lack of care for both the home and the guests — something we knew immediately didn’t align with how we wanted our family’s investment treated.
So we did what felt natural: we stepped in ourselves.
Together, as a family, we learned what true hospitality looks like. We focused on meticulous cleanliness, immediate communication, and the small, thoughtful details that make guests feel genuinely welcomed — especially families traveling with children, just like ours. Through that process, we realized there was a clear gap in the St. Augustine market.
